Slow and lovely

I HEAR PACHEBELS CANON!

D:

Regardless of how much pachebel's canon is in this song, that is a truely lovely melody, and it really sings at the end of the song. The atmosphere achieved in this piece is really great, and gives a rather nostalgic feeling. I think some of the breaks are a little slow, and I would have liked a little more of the melody, but overall a great song.

Mich responds:

To be honest, I've never even heard of that 'Pachebels Canon'...
So That was not intended...

Thanks for your review!
-EDIT-
I looked that Pachelbel's canon thingy up, and it appears that I do know that :p

And you're right it sounds pretty much like it...
Still it wasn't intended...

Wow

Now, normally I don't really like rock songs. however, this song is far more complex then i would ever have imagined a rock song to be, and goddamn, its awesome. You've been told a million times, but your amazing.

Divine

0:42 has the most amazing notes that I have ever heard come out of my speakers. This song doesn't need a review, the song itself demands nothing less then 10/10 and 5/5. This. Is. Amazing.

Mrmilkcarton responds:

Glad to be honored by your words.

Holy shit

You know, every now and then, I'll be listening to a song, and it will hit a part that is so unbelievably awesome, I say "Holy shit" out loud. This is one of them. Un-fucking-believable. The middle part has some weird tempos, but the pure, unholy awesomeness of the main chorus makes up for a billion times. You are a GOD.

DavidKrachtLam responds:

Thank you very much! I'm glad you like it! =)

Strings! STRINGS!

This song is crying out for some deep, thick background strings to accompany the piano. Also, doing octaves in the left hand for extended periods of time is not recommended. Instead, try to put in some interesting patterns and arpeggios. Additional instruments would also help widen and round out the song. Either way, a nice melody, I just feel that it wasn't fully explored.

DavidKrachtLam responds:

Yeah well, it was totally remade from me playing it on piano, so I felt that I shouldn't have added more since well, this what was I could play.

Noooooo

This song could have been a million times better if you had taken advantage of a melody that could have (and should have) been expanded to 8 or 16 measures. A little echo on the bell-synth would help too, but those are details. As it is, simply too repetative.

Alrighty then, I guess that differs for each person.

This is gonna be good

Provided, of course, you fix that horrible bass coming in at :14, its so very lonely :( A good pad to fill up the speakers with stereo goodness would add a lot of atmosphere to this song, and I think you could make the main beat even better with a stronger synth and some chord backing. One of the song's strongest points is probably how well the chord progression complements the melody, and it might be worth it to exagerate that a little.

Thanks for reviewing! I'll see what I can do about the intro.

A Melody! D:

Finally, some trance with actual melodic focus. Superb job on this song, the synths are excellent, the mastering/mixing is good, but the song really shines with its focus complex melodies and rapid fire piano. I must listen to your other works :D

Magical

In an indescribable way. I can't say I worship this song, but it has a special quality to it that brings me back again and again.

Superb

There are some compression problems in this song, but the total awesomeness of 1:30, the ambience, and near the end totally make up for it - the beginning is also a little boring, and lacks a real melodic drive. Great job on this though!

Mrmilkcarton responds:

I'm slowly getting better at compression and this is one of the ones that missed good compressing.
